All aboard!? Hop on The Howth Express and learn about the rich local history and culture while touring along the coastal roads of the Howth Peninsula.

There’s no better way to immerse yourself in all that this wonderful coastal town has to offer, breathtaking cliff paths from Balscadden to Sutton, old tram lines, historic castles and golf courses to name just a few. If you’re feeling peckish along the way, there are many bars and restaurants to satisfy even the pickiest of diets.

The train, known as O’Malley, stops at the National Transport Museum where one can see vehicles that span over the past century and carry so much history with them. This museum also holds a fully restored, historic Howth Tram.

Tours normally take about an hour and a half and is a must-see family attraction while staying at the 4* Green Isle Hotel, Clondalkin. If you are staying with us on a group or tour basis, be sure to suggest this wonderful journey to your guide.

Tickets can be bought on board but they also have an option to pre-book if you like to have things planned in advance.
