The Chocolate Warehouse
The Chocolate Warehouse was established in 2001 by Natasha Caffrey, Granddaughter of Thomas Caffrey, the founder of Caffreys Confectionery in the 1930’s.
The idea for the warehouse came about after Natasha spent time working for Caffrey’s Confectionery and was constantly asked by customers and friends about how chocolate was made. There is no other concept like this in Ireland where children can not only enjoy but learn about where one of their favourite treats comes from.
The Chocolate Warehouse caters for school tours, bringing the understanding of chocolate to young minds giving them the hands-on experience of making something special to take away with them. They are also open to tourist groups, birthday parties and the general public and always give a warm welcome to all that visit the one and only chocolate warehouse.
This is a unique and special journey through the history and joy of making chocolate. They have key seasonal events throughout the year such as Santa Visits and Easter Bunny Visits.
You can book in as an individual, family or group. The Chocolate Workshop is not just for children but also for grown-ups. It is the age of the heart, not the person that counts.
